Gala has had a longstanding career in Europe. For her first album "Come Into My Life´ she was awarded Best Female Artist at the COFA (Celebration of Female Artists) Awards in the UK. Moreover, the single "Freed from Desire," went Platinum and Diamond, and sold over 6 million copies worldwide. She received the Disc D'or at the Midem in Cannes that same year. The singles "Come Into My Life" and "Let a Boy Cry" went platinum in Europe and are still fixtures of popular radio channels worldwide. She has performed at venues such as Top of the Pops as well as at the Bercy Stadium in Paris side by side to artists such as Janet Jackson and Oasis, before an audience of more than 20,000 people.
